Web design for Prince Edward Island businesses.

On an Island where a great deal of the year’s revenue arrives between June and September, the website is the part of the business still selling while you are flat out. Ours are built by hand, priced before the work starts, and usually live inside five business days to two weeks.

On the Island

A short season and a small search market.

PEI has fewer businesses chasing each search than anywhere else in the region, which makes a well-built site unusually effective here. It also means the traffic that matters arrives inside a narrow window.

Built before the season rather than during it

01 Thin competition rewards the effortSearch a service in Charlottetown and you will often find a handful of results, several of them years out of date. A current, fast page that answers the obvious questions can climb in weeks here, where the same work takes months in a bigger market.
02 Visitors search before they arriveA good share of Island enquiries come from people planning a trip from off-Island, usually weeks ahead and usually on a phone. They are checking hours, prices and whether you open in shoulder season, and the ones who cannot find that quickly go elsewhere.
03 The season decides the build calendarAnything meant to earn through the summer wants to be live and indexed by spring. Building in July means paying for a site through the only months you were far too busy to notice it.
04 Off-Island buyers need reassuringBookings, deposits and orders from people who have never set foot in your shop rest entirely on how the site presents you. Clear pricing, real photographs and a phone number that reaches a person carry more weight here than any design flourish.
05 Being small is a reason to look sharpAn operation with two staff and one with twenty look identical in a search result, and the smaller one frequently reads better because the copy is honest. Hand-built pages are $800 to build and $99 a month to run.
What we do

Everything we build, wherever you are in the region.

Seven services, each quoted in full before the work starts. Websites are $800 to build and $99 a month to run. Repairs, audits and profile setups are one-time work on sites somebody else built.

Recent work

Sites already running for businesses around the region.

A pizza shop, an auto body shop and a hockey program. Different businesses with the same job to do: look right, load quickly, and make it easy for a visitor to become a customer.

Where we build

The markets across Prince Edward Island.

The Island divides into a handful of areas that behave quite differently in search, mostly along the line between year-round trade and visitor season.

Charlottetown and StratfordThe Island’s largest market and its most competitive, although a full page of local competitors is still a rare sight in most categories.
Summerside and the westA steady year-round base with far less tourism dependence, and correspondingly less seasonal noise in the numbers.
Cavendish and the North ShoreAlmost entirely visitor-driven, where the site does its selling in April for work that happens in July.
Souris, Montague and eastern PEISmaller communities where naming your service area plainly amounts to most of the local SEO strategy worth doing.
Tignish, O’Leary and West PrinceLong drives, tight-knit towns, and searchers who mainly want to know whether you will come out that far.
Borden-Carleton and the bridgeThe first and last thing visitors pass, and a useful place to be found by people who are already on their way over.

Running a trade or a seasonal service business? The Lead Machine quotes jobs and captures enquiries around the clock, which matters most in the weeks you have no time to answer the phone.

Q.01

Is a website worth it for a small Island business?

Usually more so than for a mainland one. Competition per search is lower, so a fast, current page can reach the top of local results without a budget behind it. The lift is largest for businesses that take bookings or serve visitors planning from off-Island.

Q.02

Can the site work for a seasonal business that closes in winter?

Yes, and it should say so plainly. Seasonal hours, opening and closing dates and an off-season contact route all go on the page, which heads off the winter enquiries that end in disappointment while letting next summer’s bookings arrive all year.

Q.03

Do you travel to PEI for meetings?

It happens occasionally, though nearly every Island build runs on phone, email and a shared preview link instead. Nothing in the process requires a bridge crossing, and the price is the same either way.

Q.04

When should a PEI business start its website?

Autumn or winter, if the timing is yours to choose. That puts the site live and indexed before the spring planning traffic begins, and it keeps the build off your desk during the months when the season has your full attention.
